Louis Robertson had not seen his family in England since he ran away from home as a young boy of 12 (c.1884) and worked his way to America as a "cabin boy" on a merchant sailing vessel. In later years he corresponded with his brothers from his home in Canada and in 1950 -1951 he sailed back to England to pay a last visit with those who were left. He died shortly after his return to Canada. During that visit, he made this hand sketch of his parent's gravestone at their resting place in Rosary Cemetery, Norwich, England. It reads as follows: Sacred to the Memory ofEllen The beloved wife of Henry Robertson who died 13th May 1919 Aged 77 years "The Lord is my Shepard: I shall not want" Also of Henry Robertson The dearly beloved husband of the above Who died 28th June 1921 Aged 85 years "He fought a good fight, he kept the faith" A.
